I am art-blocked, currently. I quite simply can't draw the next damn comic. It won't work for me.

I'm working on it. I will post ONE more filler, and then it will be comic-time, however crappy it turns out to look.
Also I am working on the latest poll-result from way back when, and since I am (sort of) back in school, I have gotten a number of frivolous little sketches done I might share.

Stuff will come to the site, eventually.

So we're slowly slowly heading towards the resolution of this whole "Myke Has a Crappy Night Out at a Gay Bar"-storyline.

So what's next? Well, obviously I won't spoil things too much.

Basically, once I wrap up what's currently going on, it's time for a change of format.
Girls Only! as it is now is very much a procedural creation - I don't write very far ahead and the story mutates and changes almost from update to update as I edit and correct and second-guess myself, or think of things to add.

It's not a bad model, by any stretch, I'm simply in the mood for change.

So, for the next few storylines, I'll be employing a slightly more condense, episodical format, where each episode functions as more of a self-contained, resolved storyline, where I don't leave too many loose ends around to flap like I seem to have a tendency of doing now.

It's an experiment, obviously, so we'll see how it goes. And how long it lasts.

You may have noticed that the top navigational menu looks different.

That is because I have taken the fanart, the fillers and the gallery and moved it all over to the FORUMS.

I did this for several reasons. Firstly, all those fillers were a bother in the archives, and they artificially inflated the amount of comics Smackjeeves were registering in my archives. Secondly, the gallery-pages I had knocked up on these servers were - frankly - useless. All the images were arranged in one big column up and down, which is just bad for browsing.

The forum deals a bit better with images, and also makes it a lot easier for you guys to send in your fanart to me (none of that email-nonsense, just post it on the forum)

Photoshop is pretty consistently giving me a big, fat Blue Screen of Death. I don't really know how I'm going to fix that right now.

Therefore there's a bit of filler up over by the comic.

[CONTEST: If Girls Only! was *actually* a yaoi-manga]

The challenge is thus: draw/write/come up with something related to Girls Only! as if Girls Only! was a stereotypical yaoi-manga. Maybe a picture of JC being extremely seme. Maybe a short strip or comic. Maybe some cast-members being complete and utter bishies. Maybe a brief bit of fanfiction. Whatever you can think of!

The contest isn't extremely serious, and you needn't spend ages on an entry. Sketchwork, short stories, poems, anything goes.

To enter the contest, post your entry in the thread that's been made for it over on the Forums, in the "Fanworks"-category. The deadline is any time before comic #105
You don't need to register in order to post on the forum, so don't worry about confirmation emails and all that nonsense.
You will also want to post some reference-picture as pertains to...

EVERYONE WINS THIS CONTEST! The actual 1st prize is: I will draw yourself, or one of your original characters, having an... "interaction" of some sort or another with JC in one of the upcoming comics. Obviously, if you or your OC isn't male, I will have to gender-switch you/your character for the page to work. Also, if you're a forum-member, I'll see about getting you a fancy SUPER EXCLUSIVE TITLE which will be in your forum-profile. However, for all of those who don't win 1st prize, I will *still* draw you/your original character is a background/filler-character in one or more of the upcoming comics.

I think after the 1000-mark, it just becomes redundant.

Hey people. A bit of trouble on my end: I've been running the Windows 7 Release Client for the past bunch of months, but that license is running out.

Trying to get my computer back to its previous Vista-setup proved impossible, and trying to upgrade the damn thing to a proper Win7 just disabled my sound-card.

So I'm running Linux right now, which saved my sound-card, thank god.
Now, Linux, as you might know, is incompatible with a lot of things. Like, for instance, Photoshop and my scanner.
So updates will be a bit late. My dad, bless his heart, has an old Windows XP Professional lying around that I'll try and get up and running. It should be in the mail by tuesday at the latest.

So yeah. I got fucked by my penguin messiah on this one - and so did you, by extension.

Number one hundred is looming ever closer.

Under "General Discussion" in the forum is a poll on what I should do to commemorate that arbitrary landmark - you will want to make your democratic voice heard!

Also some of the options have the word "sexy" in them.

So yeah, I do have a Twitter.
